Potentially great sandwich shop in Chapel Allerton, I've only been the once but the BLT I had was a tasty one and the atmosphere is welcoming. The outside space on Harrogate Rd is really nice when sunny.
Unfortunately, It'll never be able to compete with Gregg's for price, but the quality and atmosphere make it a worthwhile lunch stop - and it's good to have another independent (I think) sandwich shop in Chapel A. -

There are so many places to choose from in chapel allerton and crust and crumb is not to be missed as an option. It has a squishy feel inside but once you are sat down you feel right at home.
Many favourites on the menu and a really good salad bar available. The long queue of people getting takeaway is testament to how nice the food is. -

Great food! Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. There are only about 7/8 tables in total. Homemade breads and scones are excellent.

Popped in for brunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised with the size with seating along left side wall opposite an L shaped counter displaying some tasty looking treats and salads. At the end of the counter is some low stocked baskets of fresh baked bread where as opposite is a dresser of products they seem to sell on the side.
Upon sitting down and deciding on a breakfast sandwich I rose to stand at the counter money in hand. After a minute or so of being ignored I realised the till to order was at the end towards the back of the room. Stood here my order was taken.
I was brought my coffee which was made with grumpy mule which is a brand I've sampled at the Armley town street Hub but find it very strong & bitter. My friend who eats Halal had opted for a veggie sausage & egg sandwich which they then came over go advise they couldn't provide and what would she like to swap for.
When our sandwiches arrived they were medium bread baps/buns of soft bread. The fried egg wasn't greasy and still had a nice runny yolk and my meat sausage was of a good quality taste.
I think this place has great potential, it has the right groundwork and base to be amazing. It's just not there yet. The service, food, drinks & atmosphere just aren't there yet so chipped half a star each.
I would visit again though but it's not priority on my list. -

Crust and Crumb has the most amazing sausage roll I have ever tried, hands down.
The brownies are pretty lovely and stopping in early for fresh bread is most definitely worth it as well.
